Description:

Description for B&B:

At La Vieille Distillerie, a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre from the mid-nineteenth century, you will receive a warm and inviting welcome. This charming establishment boasts its own former Cognac distillery, adding to its unique character.

During the winter months, guests can enjoy an even warmer experience in our centrally heated house, complete with cozy log fires and candlelit dinners.

Located in the scenic south Charente region, there is an abundance of activities to indulge in. Take part in cookery classes such as the renowned Chez Cartier with Reza Mahammed, or explore local Cognac distilleries and indulge in wine-tasting. Golf, fishing, horse-riding, and bird-watching are also popular pastimes in the area. Additionally, you can explore the fascinating historic towns and villages, each offering intriguing Chateaux and picturesque gardens.

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Le Tatre, just 4 kms from the N10 route towards the South and Spain, our location provides a convenient stopover or an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking French countryside. Surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields, and rolling landscapes, the quiet roads are perfect for cyclists, walkers, and birdwatchers. Keep an eye out for the Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite, and Zetting Cisticole, all of which can be spotted in the Le Tatre area.

For those in search of a new home, our proximity to the borders of three Departments - the Charente Maritime, the Gironde, and the Dordogne - makes us an excellent base for house hunters. Within a few yards of our house, you will find a fishing lake and a tennis court, perfect for recreational activities. Additionally, our garden is graced by the presence of an eleventh-century church, adding to the charm and tranquility of our surroundings.

Appréciations pour La Vieille Distillerie, Le Tatre:

Pour une nuit
Review by: Rémy et Agnès , Sep 22 2019 7:27PM
