Description for B&B:

Nestled in a picturesque valley, this historic manor was established by the de Launcells family after the Norman Conquest. It is located just beyond the hill from the charming Market Town of Crediton, and is close to the village of Sandford.

Combe Lancey is a fully operational farm, home to sheep and cattle. Accessible through its own private roads, the property is surrounded by 150 acres of beautiful meadows. It is conveniently positioned only a short half-mile walk from Crediton, and nearby you will find the quaint village of Sandford, boasting charming old Pubs.

For nature enthusiasts, Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible, offering stunning landscapes. Additionally, the historic Cathedral City of Exeter is within close proximity.

The accommodation, situated within the cob and timbered Linhay, is adorned with rustic beams and is part of the Listed 15th Century thatched Farmhouse. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley from the comfort of their rooms, which are both en-suite. Complete privacy is ensured, as the separate Breakfast Room provides a peaceful and comfortable space.

Directions

To reach Sandford from Crediton, take the road leading to Sandford at the Crediton junction. As you leave Crediton, at the bottom of the hill, look for Creedy Park lodge gate and take the left road towards Morchard Bishop. After approximately 400 yards, at the top of the hill, you will see a sharp left lane marked Public Footpath/Combe Lancey. Follow this lane down to the bottom of the valley and then make a right turn into the courtyard.

Coming from Tiverton, once you pass the left turn off to Lord's Leisure Centre and Industrial Estate, enter Crediton and take the first right turn towards Sandford. Follow the same directions as above, leaving Crediton at the bottom of the hill at Creedy Park lodge gate and taking the left road to Morchard Bishop. Continue up the road for around 400 yards, then take the sharp left lane marked Public Footpath/Combe Lancey. Follow this lane down to the bottom of the valley and make a right turn into the courtyard.
