Situated just outside the city center, Halepa area is adjacent to the main Court House of Chania, known as Dikastiria. The Halepa Hotel, constructed in the late 19th Century in the New Classical style, holds a rich historical significance. Originally serving as the British Embassy during the late 1800s and early 1900s, it played a pivotal role in the Cretan Democracy era, witnessing the signing of numerous important treaties. In 1990, the hotel underwent a meticulous renovation, adding a new wing with 42 beautifully designed rooms while preserving the grandeur of the original structure. Since then, the Halepa Hotel has been operating with great success. Offering a total of 3 Suites and 46 rooms, the Traditional Wing features a VIP Suite and 5 Superior rooms, accessible via an elegant exterior two-sided marble staircase. The New Wing offers 2 Small Suites and 41 Standard rooms, with 3 adjoining Family rooms available. Each room is equipped with modern amenities such as a Private bathroom, Hair dryer, Shaver outlet (110/220), Phone, Free Internet access, Music, Satellite TV, Mini-Bar, and Central heating / Air conditioning. The most recent renovation took place in 2005.
