This area is a haven for photographers and artists, offering endless inspiration. The climate here rivals that of the South of France, creating the perfect atmosphere for exploring the untouched countryside through invigorating walks and bike rides. Conveniently, Confolens is only 60-70 km away from the airports of Limoges, Poitiers, and Angouleme.

This medieval town boasts a variety of charming establishments such as cafes, bars, bakeries, butchers, tobacco shops, general stores, and pharmacies. Directions

If you are driving from the northern part of France and heading towards the south, your first destination is Poitiers. Start by taking the N10 road towards Angouleme until you reach Vivonne. At Vivonne, make a right turn and head east on D742 towards Gencay. Continue on D742 until you reach Gencay. From Gencay, take the D741 road towards Pressac, and then switch to D948 which will lead you to Confolens. Once you are in Confolens, you will come across a new bridge. Cross the bridge and continue driving through town, following the one-way traffic. After that, make a left turn onto Pont Vieux Fontorse. Our location is at the end of the old bridge, which is the second building on the left.
