It is ideally situated near the beautiful Loire river, just a 10-minute walk to the city centre and a 20-minute walk to the station. The flat is independent and located on the ground floor of a medieval house. You will have your own terrace and BBQ in the yard, ensuring a peaceful and private experience. There is a free car park nearby, making it convenient for travelers with a vehicle. The flat is ideal for tourism in the enchanting Loire Valley, offering opportunities for cycling and exploring. Bikes are available for short stays. There are plenty of things to do in the area, including visiting the famous Loire Valley castles, cycling along the scenic Loire bike track, and indulging in the delightful Loire Valley wines (the nearest vineyards are just 2km away, easily accessible on foot!).

From our conveniently located accommodation, you can easily explore the charming city of Tours on foot. Experience the thrill of crossing the river on the iconic "Pont de fil" suspended bridge, exclusively reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. Whether it's the break of dawn or the enchanting sunset, this unique experience promises to leave a lasting impression. The city center, with its array of shops, restaurants, and the magnificent cathedral, is just a short walk away. For those arriving by train, the station is also within walking distance, and we are happy to provide transport if you have heavy luggage.

Our cozy basement flat, nestled within a centuries-old Tuffeau house with exquisite beams, offers a comfortable retreat to rest and recharge after a day of exploration. Enjoy the luxury of your own private terrace in the charming courtyard. The kitchen is separate from the bedroom/living room, ensuring convenience and functionality. The high-quality convertible sofa offers a comfortable seating area and can be easily folded to create more space, allowing you to dance to your heart's content while enjoying your favorite music on the hi-fi sound system (compatible with your iPod).

Optional services include bed linen, towels, and teatowels for a nominal fee of six euros per person per stay. The bathroom is well-appointed to meet all your needs, and the fully equipped kitchen ensures you have everything required for a delightful stay. Families with babies and young children are most welcome, as we provide a bed, chair, and crockery to cater to their needs.

Stay connected with our internet connection, and a mobile phone is available if necessary. For entertainment, cable TV with a variety of foreign and French channels is provided. A spacious car park, bus stop, shops, cafes, and restaurants are all within a minute's walk. The historical neighborhood, situated along the Loire River and the "Loire à vélo" cycle track, offers a delightful setting for jogging or simply relaxing in the expansive riverside park, which also features tennis courts.

If our schedule permits, we would be delighted to welcome you with a glass of the renowned local sparkling wine, VOUVRAY, produced just 5 kilometers away. Additionally, if available, you may have the opportunity to indulge in a relaxing jacuzzi experience at our place (for a small fee), providing a chance to unwind and engage in pleasant conversation with us.

For your convenience, we provide bikes free of charge for exploring the city. The accommodation is fully independent, except for the shared yard with other tenants. You will have access to a designated area for bikes and garden furniture, as well as a washing machine.

As a passionate host, I am here to assist you in any way I can. Whether you need help with renting a car, finding something special, or advice on your visits, feel free to ask. Additionally, a jacuzzi is available at my place (for a small fee), offering you a chance to relax and engage in friendly conversation with us, provided we are around and available.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating historical environment of Tours, with its medieval houses, charming lanes, troglodyte houses, and caves (including your own!). The delightful church and the surrounding area create a quaint village-like ambiance. Conveniently, there is a grocer, baker, butcher, newsagents, bus stop, and a lovely footbridge to cross the magnificent LOIRE River.

Public transportation is easily accessible, with a bus stop just 100 meters away. Bus number 17 provides direct transportation to and from the station and city center. Alternatively, a 12-minute walk will take you to the tramway, providing another option to reach the city center and the station. If available, I am more than happy to pick you up from the bus/train station or tram stop, or even the airport.

Parking options are plentiful, with several free options available within a maximum distance of 200 meters.
