Description for B&B:

The PLESSIS BELLEVUE MANOR, located in Saumur in the Loire Valley, is a historic eighteenth-century residence linked to VICTOR HUGO, the renowned poet, playwright, novelist, and politician. It was the home of his friend and personal physician, EMILE LEON-ALLIX. Victor Hugo himself stayed at the manor on multiple occasions.

Recently renovated by Alain Nicolas and Veronique Coquema, the BELLEVUE MANOR PLESSIS has been transformed into a charming guesthouse that combines comfort and the French "Art de Vivre." The manor boasts a beautiful landscaped garden and a heated swimming pool with breathtaking views of the city of Saumur and the Loire River.

The main house features a spacious lounge with a library and a large dining room, as well as five historical-style suites that offer all modern comforts discreetly, including en-suite bathrooms or showers, WiFi, safes, satellite TVs, and flat screens.

There is also a separate cottage, known as the Gite de France, fully equipped with a lounge and three bedrooms, including one equipped for individuals with disabilities, complete with a bathroom and shower.

The FLAG VICTOR HUGO, named in honor of the famous poet, houses a billiard room with a French balcony and an Eiffel staircase that offers stunning views of the Loire River. It is a designated smoking area with a cigar cellar and is suitable for small receptions or events, with access to a cellar carved into the rock known as The Den BACCHUS.

The FLAG Plantagenets has been fitted with an indoor fitness spa, including a jacuzzi, a massage room, and a ping pong table. The spa is adorned with paintings by contemporary masters.

The PLESSIS BELLEVUE MANOR also offers the opportunity to host local and small receptions in its landscaped gardens, making it an ideal venue for weddings, birthdays, events, and private seminars.
