Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, amidst picturesque castles and renowned wine cottages, you will find "Le Clos du Bois Brard" in Saumur, specifically in the charming towns of St-Hilaire-St Florent. Just one mile away from the city center of Saumur, our accommodation boasts one flat and three guest rooms, all nestled within a historic 18th-century master house. Start your day with a delightful breakfast served in our tranquil garden.

Adjacent to the National Riding School and golf course, our location offers easy access to the world-famous wines that have earned the region a global reputation. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Loire Valley and the Thouet River, as you explore the area by bike.

Originally a part of the ancient woods known as "Bois Bard," our property later became the possession of M. Fouquet, the financial minister under Louis XIV, the king of France. During the 19th century, the second and third floors were added to the building. Interestingly, the renowned author Honoré De Balzac was frequently invited to visit by the owner during the 19th century.

We take great pleasure in welcoming you to our house, and we will ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your stay in France.
