Directions from Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
After leaving Cancun Airport, head east for one mile. Look for highway #307, the only highway that runs north and south from Cancun to Tulum. Turn right (south) onto #307 and continue for 65 miles (about 100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
Along the way, you will pass Puerto Morelos, a pueblo with one gas station and several speed bumps called "topes." Be cautious of these speed bumps as they can cause damage to your vehicle. As you continue, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, a fast-growing city located 20 miles south of Puerto Morelos. If you need to stop at a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and you will see a Soriana Mall near the end of the city.
Continue further south for 12 more miles, passing the golfing community of Puerto Aventuras, which has two additional gas stations. Be mindful of the speed bumps near the people crossing bridge. Finally, the last 12 miles will lead you to Akumal. Look for the "Playa Akumal" exit, but continue another 2 miles south to reach the Aventuras Akumal exit. You will see a green road sign above the road indicating "Villas DeRosa Resort." Take this left exit and continue driving south until you reach the bridge of Bahia Principe. At the hwy. turn area just before the bridge, turn around and head back north towards Aventuras Akumal.
Once you enter Aventuras Akumal, which boasts the most beautiful beach in the world, follow the dirt road for approximately 1/4 mile. The road will turn 90 degrees to your left, and you will see houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on the center lots, specifically lots 35, 36, and 37. Look for signs indicating our condos, restaurant, rooftop bar, beach bar, and office.
