Description:

Description for B&B:

Situated near the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Park, just one hour away from the stunning gorges of Ardeche and the Chauvet cave, the Little Convent of the Benedictines holds a rich history. Built in 1346 by Lord Bermond of Anduze, this charming establishment is located on the outskirts of Chomérac, in the heart of the fertile Payre Valley. Embraced by the mountains and the basaltic Coiron Grads limestone, the area offers numerous scenic trails that the owners will gladly guide you through.

The village itself epitomizes the essence of this region of Ardèche, with its proximity to the Rhone Valley. In close proximity to the hamlet of Taverna, you will find the quaint Romanesque church of St-Martin-le-Supérieur, the picturesque Lavezon Valley, and the remarkable villages of Meysse and Saint-Vincent-du-Barres.

Your stay at the Little Convent or its annexes will be a delightful experience. The property is located 800m from the village center and its shops, nestled alongside the peaceful river Véronne. The owners, an actress and artist alongside her doctor and sculptor spouse, have created a unique and artistic atmosphere throughout the premises.

The accommodations consist of double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and toilets, providing refined comfort and tranquility. A generous kitchen is at your disposal, with breakfast included and the option for a delightful dinner at an additional cost of 25 per person.

For your relaxation, there is a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi available for individual reservations. On the eastern side of the property, accessible via a staircase of ten steps, you will find a serene room of 25 m² with a large bed, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a view of the peaceful gardens. Additionally, in the central area, there is a 45 m² room above the pool, also accessed by a staircase of ten steps, featuring a large bed, sitting area in vaults, and the option for two additional beds at an extra charge. This room also includes a bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Within the convent building itself, on the upper floor, you will discover a charming vaulted room of 15 m². It offers a large bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower and toilet, overlooking the serene inner courtyard.

Parking is available free of charge in the garden, with the option for a closed garage at an additional cost.
