Description:

Description for Gite

Welcome to Pinot Black Cottage at Clos de Guignes, a charming old winery filled with fascinating stories. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this estate in Tavers (45) holds a special place in the history of the Loire Valley. It was once home to monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire, who produced wine enjoyed by royalty, including the renowned Louis XIII.

As you enter the spacious farmhouse, adorned with roses, you'll discover its rich winemaking past. The vineyards, which surround the property, lead the way to a beautifully landscaped garden, filled with hidden corners where our beloved hens roam freely. At Clos de Guignes, tranquility and relaxation await, with a heated pool and spa located near a charming pergola. On sunny days, take a moment to unwind in our cabin by the river or try your hand at fishing.

In the mornings, you may be fortunate enough to spot deer frolicking in the nearby woods or pheasants strolling through the grounds. Our warm and friendly staff are always ready to assist you. The cottage, located in one of the outbuildings of our main house, offers independence and a peaceful stay. We are delighted to provide you with all the amenities of our site and the surrounding area. Please note that the attic area with two single beds may not be suitable for elderly guests. The cottage is perfect for families with children or groups of friends.

Gite Pinot Black is conveniently located just ten minutes from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. The UNESCO World Heritage site, the Loire River, is within walking distance or can be explored using the bikes available to you. The famous vineyards and castles of the Loire, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are only a few minutes away. For those seeking more adventurous activities, the Beauval Zoo and options like tree climbing in Sologne or go-karting in Wed are also nearby.
