Located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat, this tranquil sanctuary is an absolute must-visit. Situated halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this stunning 18th century house is nestled within a sprawling 3-hectare park and features a large saltwater swimming pool measuring 14x7 meters. Each of our 5 charming bedrooms boasts a southern exposure, unique decor, a separate entrance, and, of course, a private bathroom complete with a shower or bath and toilet.

Breakfast is served either in our dining room or in the garden under the orchard, depending on the season. We offer a tempting selection of homemade jams, freshly baked bread straight from the oven, and a variety of fruit salad or cakes to kickstart your day. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the only sound that will greet you in the morning is the delightful chorus of birdsong.

On select evenings, you have the option to enjoy dinner on-site with prior reservation. Our talented chefs prepare traditional local dishes right at home, featuring delicacies such as foie gras, duck, ceps, and cabecou cheese.

From our vacation rentals, you can easily explore the most beautiful attractions of the Périgord Noir region, including Sarlat, Lascaux, Les Eyzies, and the stunning Dordogne Valley, all within a 20-minute drive. If you're up for a longer journey, you can venture a bit further to discover Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac and Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and the captivating village of Collonges la Rouge.

For nature enthusiasts, there are hiking trails right at the edge of our garden, ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours in duration. The more adventurous among you can even embark on a 3-hour walk to the breathtaking gardens of the Eyrignac Manor.

Description for Gite

Discover the tranquil paradise of Thomas Barn, just 9 kilometers from Sarlat. Nestled within the picturesque park of the "Granges Hautes," this charming retreat offers two separate two-story holiday cottages, each spanning 50 square meters and accommodating 2 or 3 guests.

Step into the ground floor of the cottages to find a cozy living area with its own entrance, complete with a comfortable seating and dining space, as well as a television. The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern amenities such as a dishwasher, combined oven, refrigerator, ceramic stove tops, and a washing machine. Independent toilets provide added convenience.

Upstairs, you'll find a peaceful sleeping area with a spacious double bed measuring 160 cm wide. One of the cottages also includes an additional single bed measuring 90 cm wide. A well-appointed bathroom completes the top floor.

Outside, Thomas Barn offers a private garden exclusively accessible from the cottage, where you can relax on the outdoor furniture provided. Take a refreshing dip in the pool or explore the hiking trails that start at the edge of the garden, leading you on scenic walks ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours. For the adventurous, a 3-hour hike will lead you to the stunning gardens of the Eyrignac Manor.

Un très beau séjour chez Anouk et Gilles: la qualité de leur accueil nous a profondément touchés.
Le cadre est magnifique, extérieur comme intérieur, amoureusement entretenu; une cuisine de très grande qualité et des petites attentions émouvantes, sans compter les conseils judicieux pour les visites touristiques.
Merci infiniment pour ce moment passé chez vous, notre meilleur souvenir parmi les maisons d'hôtes que nous avons fréquentées

Directions

If you are coming from Sarlat, continue towards "Brive La Gaillarde" until you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet". When you see the signboard for the beginning of the village, proceed straight ahead for approximately 200 meters. Ignore the second signboard on your right for "Saint Crépin". You will then arrive at the village center, with the school on your left and the town hall on your right. The entrance to "Les Granges Hautes" is located on your right, just in front of the town hall (look for the signboard). The house is about 100 meters away.

If you are coming from the A20 motorway (take the "Brive la Gaillarde" exit if coming from the north, or the "Souillac" exit if coming from the south), follow the signs for Sarlat or Salignac. In Salignac, continue to follow the signs for Sarlat for approximately 4 kilometers. When you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet", continue straight ahead for about 100 meters before turning left onto the road to "Les Granges Hautes". The road begins just in front of the town hall, near the school. The house is about 100 meters away from this point.
