The Cave Pont dArc, an exceptional site on the UNESCO World Heritage site, is open to visitors and located 25 km away. The Mediterranean Ardèche, known for its rustling sound of cicadas during the summer, is a land of flavors with olive mills and grape varieties. For those who enjoy thrill-seeking and water sports, the gorges of Ardeche and Chassezac valley offer a magnificent setting. The ark of Vallon Pont dArc is the most well-known postcard image of this area. Additionally, visitors can admire the mysterious Païolive wood, the exhibition dedicated to the famous Chauvet cave, and the splendors of Orgnac and its adjacent cavities.
The Ardeche offers a variety of fun activities for reconnecting with a wild, unspoiled, and lush environment. Life here allows for disconnecting from urban territories. The diverse landscapes of mountains, valleys, gorges, plains, lakes, rivers, woods, plateaus, and ridge lines make the Ardeche a paradise for nature recreation. Activities such as caving, canoeing, hiking, tree climbing, climbing, cycling, air sports, and canyoning are available for those who seek adventure and want to enjoy a sporting holiday in the Ardèche. Other attractions within reach include a golf course 50 km away (UZES), the sea 120 km away (PALAVAS), Avignon 100 km away, and thalasso centers (VALS LES BAINS, SAINT LAURENT LES BAINS).
Located 8 kilometers from Joyeuse, on the ridge road, 500 meters above sea level, the village stretches its pink sandstone villages on the road to Saint- Laurent les Bains. The village has a population of 121 people who live there year-round. The village features several notable landmarks such as the Castle Valoubières (XII century), the remains of the Abbey of Chabroulières (XVI century), an exhibition to Country Relay during the summer season by the Association TRACES, and marked hiking trails.
The kitchen opens onto a large living room and is fully equipped with amenities such as a dishwasher, hob with extractor hood, convection oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, table and chairs stools, counter, and a large quantity of dishes.
The living room/dining room is 40 m2 in size and includes a fireplace that spreads warmth throughout the house during the winter months. It features leather armchairs, floor lamps, a coffee table, a radio, a stereo with 6 CDs, and a variety of classical music CDs. Two doors open onto a tiled terrace that is 25 m2 in size and offers a diving and stunning views of the valley.
The house has four bedrooms. Bedroom 1 (on the floor) includes 2 beds of 90 upholsterers and is tastefully decorated. Bedroom 2 features a double bed with a retractable part, allowing for a comfortable slatted bed base that can be used as a single or double bed (90 or 140). It also includes a writing desk with a chair and decorative painting night table. Bedroom 3 includes 2 bunk beds and 1 drawer bed (sleeping 0, 90) with matching curtains to bedspreads. It also features a desk and chair, painting and engraving, and board games. Bedroom 4 serves as a rest room with a TV and VCR, a chair, and a 3-seater sofa that can be used as additional sleeping space. It also includes a cupboard, a writing desk with a stool, a lamppost, and curtains. All bedrooms have large sliding façades closets and great views.
The spacious bathroom is fully tiled and naturally lit. It includes decorative wall tiles, storage units with 2 columns and a washstand, a strip light with a shaver point, retractable door towels, and thermostatic valves. It also features a large shower with servant products and a shower screen in frosted glass.
The independent laundry room includes a hot water cumulus of 300 liters, a washing machine, and an ironing board with a steam iron.
The garage features a large fridge with a freezer section for storing fresh and frozen products.
Additional amenities include plush leather chairs, solid oak kitchen furniture, paintings, a grandfather clock, terrace furniture and parasol, deckchairs, and a barbecue. A telephone for incoming calls is also provided. The mezzanine includes a reading area with a library that offers a wide variety of books for adults and children. All openings in the house are equipped with mosquito nets for added comfort.
Please contact the host before making a reservation to provide more information about yourself. The house rules will be provided upon arrival and must be followed. A deposit of 400 is required and will be returned on the day of departure if no issues occur during the stay. Check-in/check-out times will be agreed upon by both parties. Check-in is between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., while check-out must be done before 10:00 a.m. No animals are allowed, but smokers are allowed to smoke on the terrace while enjoying the magnificent landscape.
