Le Détour is a charming Bed and Breakfast Inn situated in Buffard, at the heart of the Doubs region in Franche-Comté. The property, dating back to the 17th Century, offers a peaceful retreat in a delightful area. The guest rooms, located in the outbuilding, provide comfortable and spacious accommodations, each with its own private bathroom. One room is specially designed for disabled guests.Le Détour has been recognized with the prestigious three corn ear distinction by Gite de France, and is also a fishing gite. Guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, included in the price, either on the terrace, in the park, or in the spacious dining area overlooking the field where donkeys roam. During breakfast, indulge in our home-made ham, village honey, and delectable Comté cheese while planning your day.
There are numerous cultural and sporty activities available in the enchanting surroundings. Explore the nearby Arc-et-Senans Royal Saltworks, located just 5 kilometers away, or enjoy a serene fishing session along the beautiful Loue river, complete with a delicious picnic. For those seeking adventure, the area can be explored on mountain bikes or canoes. Additionally, various themed visits can be arranged.
After a day of exploration, guests can relax and unwind in the park or on the terrace before heading out to savor the delectable Franche-comté country cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the area.

Directions to reach "Le Détour" in Buffard from Besançon:
From Besançon, follow the signs for Lons-le-Saunier and take the RN83. After traveling 20 km from Besançon, you will come across a three-way section. At this point, leave the RN83 and head towards Quingey. As you reach Quingey's public square, make a right turn, then a left turn in front of the bar. Follow the signs for Lombard-Liesle-Arc et Senans. Pass through Lombard and continue for 500m until you reach Liesle, then turn left towards Buffard.
If you have missed Quingey:
Continue on the road towards Lons-le-Saunier, and 1 km before reaching Mouchard, make a right turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
If you are coming from Dijon or Dole on the A39:
Follow the signs for Geneva/Dole Choisey. Take the exit at Dole Choisey. At the first roundabout, take a right towards Geneva and Lons-le-Saunier. At the second roundabout, take a left towards Geneva and Pontarlier. Continue following the signs for Pontarlier until you reach Mouchard, without entering the town. At Mouchard, follow the signs for Besançon on the RN83. After 1 km, make a left turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
If you are coming from Dijon or Dole on the RN5:
Follow the signs for Geneva and Pontarlier. At Mouchard, follow the signs for Besançon on the RN83. After 1 km, make a left turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
If you are coming from Lons-le-Saunier on the A39:
After passing the billboards for Poligny and Arbois, exit the A39 towards Pontarlier and Poligny. On the RN83, follow the signs for Besançon, passing by Poligny and Arbois, straight on through Mouchard. After 1 km from Mouchard, make a left turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
If you are coming from Lons-le-Saunier on the RN83:
Follow the RN83 towards Besançon, passing by Poligny and Arbois until you reach Mouchard. Stay on the RN83 and after 1 km, make a left turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
If you are coming from Geneva, Lausanne, or Pontarlier on the D72:
After Salins, follow the signs for Lons-le-Saunier until you reach Mouchard. Before entering Mouchard, follow the signs for Besançon on the RN83. After 1 km, make a left turn towards Port-Lesney. Cross the bridge over the Loue and turn right towards Buffard.
To find "Le Détour" in Buffard if you are coming from Quingey or Arc-et-Senans:
Before reaching the Buffard sign at the crossroads, turn left onto Rue de Besançon and proceed to number 27.
To find "Le Détour" in Buffard if you are coming from Port-Lesney:
Enter the village and continue past the left bend. The first road on the right is Rue de Besançon, where you will find "Le Détour" at number 27.
