Description for B&B:

The island of Désirade is situated off the coast of Guadeloupe, and can be reached by a 30-minute boat ride from St. Francis directly to the island. The Blue House is located in Baie-Mahault, the last village before the port where the boats depart from, which is about 7 km away from the town. The island itself is 12 km long and 2 km wide, with only one road that runs along the gentle slope of the mountain towards the sea, while the other side is steep. Désirade is a peaceful and beautiful place, detached from the hustle and bustle of the world, with friendly locals. The constant trade winds provide a refreshing breeze, keeping the house cool. The house is surrounded by a charming garden filled with flowers and is enclosed. It is located 400 m away from the beach, which is protected by a coral reef for 300 m, creating a calm and tranquil pool of about 15,000 m2 with sandy bottom. The beach is shaded by coconut palms, the sand is golden, the wind is pleasant, the sun is just right, and the temperature is gentle, creating a sense of well-being.
