"Le Bas des Vignes" is a charming farmhouse located in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, offering a peaceful and verdant retreat. Built in the 19th century, our farmhouse showcases the typical architecture of the region.Guests can unwind and relax by the pool, while enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Situated in South Vendée, just 12 km south of Fontenay-le-Comte, the capital of Lower Poitou, we are also conveniently located 35 km from La Rochelle, Ile de Re, and the stunning Atlantic Ocean beaches. Additionally, we are only 15 minutes away from Green Venice and its picturesque canals, as well as the beautiful Massif Forestier Mervent. For those seeking some excitement, the renowned Grand Parc Puy du Fou and its famous cinéscénie are just an hour away.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by Christine, Claude, and their friendly animals. Claude will take you on a quad horse-drawn carriage ride, while his boat will provide you with a unique opportunity to explore the landscapes of the Marais Poitevin on the Sevre Niortaise.
Cyclists and hikers are also very welcome at our farmhouse. Our upstairs rooms are each equipped with a comfortable 160x200 bed, as well as a private shower room and WC. The family room "La Mer" can accommodate an additional bed, while the room "The Sun" can be transformed into a spacious master suite. We provide complimentary baby furniture, refrigerators, and bicycles for guests to enjoy lovely walks in the swamp.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast on our sunny terrace, where you can indulge in homemade jams, cakes, and locally produced honey. Our beautiful environment offers various amenities such as the swimming pool, garden furniture, deckchairs, and a charming pond.
The rate for a two-person stay, including breakfast, is 50 per night for a minimum of two nights. For a one-night stay, the rate is 55 for two people, also including breakfast.
