Description:

Description for B&B:

Situated at the intersection of the Yonne river and the Canal du Nivernais, the village of Mailly-la-Ville boasts a unique location perfect for boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, or simply taking a leisurely stroll. The river and canal are major attractions for tourists, especially since the village is adjacent to the picturesque "Les Coûtas" coasts, which were once covered in vineyards before disappearing in the early 20th century. These coasts offer breathtaking views from the paths that start in the village center.

Perched above one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais, there are three guest rooms available on the first floor of a 17th-century building, separate from the owners' residence. On the ground floor, there is a relaxation area reserved for guests, including a fully equipped kitchen for dining or meal preparation. Additionally, there is access to a shared inner courtyard.

The guest rooms, known as "Les Coûtas," can accommodate a total of eight people and can be transformed into guest houses by booking all three bedrooms simultaneously. They are open year-round for visitors to enjoy.

The "Chambre du Père Leleu" is a family suite that offers a privileged view of one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais and the Yonne River. This suite is named after a local figure, Father Leleu, who settled in the neighboring commune of Saint-Moré in 1887. Father Leleu, a former Communard and soldier, made his home in a cave overlooking the Cure, Roche Percee. He explored the caves and discovered numerous prehistoric artifacts. He utilized his troglodyte dwelling to showcase his "apartments" and exhibit live vipers. In 1913, his body was found inside his cave, leaving behind a mysterious legend. During your stay, you can follow in the footsteps of Father Leleu and explore his intriguing story.

The family suite consists of two rooms with one double bed and two bunk beds. It has a private bathroom and a separate toilet. The suite also offers water amenities. Children under six years old can have the bunk beds adjusted for their comfort.

The room includes a double bed measuring 140 cm, a single bunk bed measuring 90 cm, two desks, and two storage cabinets. It is equipped with electrical heating. The shower room features a shower, washbasin, heated towel rail, and a hair dryer.
