Description:

Description for B&B:

This description is for a beautiful manor built in the late 19th century by an industrialist during the flourishing textile era of the belle epoque. The building follows the architectural style of Lyon, with a simple and discreet facade facing the road, allowing for an undisturbed view of the industrious city of Tarare through the shade of hundred-year-old trees. Although Tarare may not be as vibrant as it once was, it has found new life through new activities, such as Gerflor.

The manor holds historical significance, as it was surrounded and attacked in April 1943. At the time, the owner, Albert Giron, was the leader of the resistance and managed to escape through the park, eventually ending the war in town.

We have transformed the manor into a charming guesthouse, offering four comfortable guest rooms and spacious reception rooms for celebrations. The atmosphere within this grand house, located on the outskirts of town, is reminiscent of a theater, with a shaded park and a pond with ducks. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the manor's dining room, as well as authentic Lyon cuisine at the table d'hôtes.

The manor is easily accessible from the A89 motorway, with the Tarare Center exit, and it is only a 35-minute drive or train ride from Lyon, the capital of Gaul and renowned for its gastronomy. We also provide a private enclosed car park and WiFi for our guests' convenience.
