The Cortijo, a farmhouse with a rich history spanning over 300 years, has been lovingly restored to create a sophisticated and luxurious retreat. It was once owned by the renowned local bullfighter, Pedro Barrera Elbal. Our bed and breakfast guests are warmly welcomed to indulge in the delightful amenities of the house, including a refreshing swimming pool, picturesque gardens, a cozy lounge, and a well-stocked library. Additionally, they are encouraged to explore the charming local countryside. We offer both Continental and Full English breakfast options to start your day off right.Nestled near a tranquil pine forest and enveloped by almond groves and fruit trees, our property is a haven for relaxation. Within the cortijo, you will find five opulent en-suite bedrooms, each featuring a comfortable seating area for your utmost comfort. The lounge, dining room, and library are perfect spaces to unwind and enjoy moments of tranquility. The expansive grounds host a generous swimming pool, a serene garden shaded by pine trees, and an outdoor kitchen, providing an ideal setting to while away the hours in pure bliss.
Our location is in close proximity to Caravaca de la Cruz, a city renowned as the fifth holiest city in the Christian world. This city holds great significance, as the Sanctuary of Santa Cruz houses a magnificent and miraculous cross renowned for its healing powers. Pilgrims from all corners of the globe flock to this sacred destination. Nearby, you will also discover the charming villages of La Almudema and La Encarnacion.

Directions from Murcia (San Javier) Airport:
Upon leaving Murcia (San Javier) Airport, head towards Alicante on the AP7. Once you reach junction 782, take the C3319/RM 19 towards Murcia. Drive for approximately 20 minutes and then make a right turn onto the A30, following the signs for Murcia. Take the J151—MU31 exit, which is signposted Alcantarilla/Almeria/Granada E15/A7. This road will transition into the MU30 and eventually become the RM15 (Mula/Caravaca de la Cruz) after passing through a tunnel. Stay on the RM15 for about 60 kilometers. After passing Caravaca de la Cruz, continue onto the RM730, following the signs for Barranda/Huescar/Andalucia. Drive up the long hill and at the top, you will find two Repsol petrol stations. Take a left turn (signposted LORCA/RM711) and continue for 4.4 kilometers, passing through Los Prados and Pinilla de San Jose. As you leave Pinilla de San Jose, take the first left turn after approximately 200 meters, following the sign for Casa Pedro Barrera. Continue for 1 kilometer and at the T-junction, turn right. Drive for another 800 meters and Casa Pedro Barrera will be on your left hand side.

When leaving Alicante Airport, take the E15/A7 (A70) towards Murcia. At junction 138, continue on the E15/A7 towards Almeria/Granada. Take junction 651B to join the RM15, following the signs for Mula/Caravaca de la Cruz.
Stay on the C415/RM15 for approximately 60 kilometers. After passing Caravaca de la Cruz, continue onto the RM730, following the signs for Barranda/Huescar/Andalucia. Drive up the long hill and at the top, you will find two Repsol petrol stations. Take a left turn (signposted LORCA/RM711) and continue for 4.4 kilometers, passing through Los Prados and Pinilla de San Jose. As you leave Pinilla de San Jose, take the first left turn after approximately 200 meters, following the sign for Casa Pedro Barrera. Continue for 1 kilometer and at the T-junction, turn right.
