Description for B&B:

As Dutch speakers, we are fluent in English, French, and German, so feel free to reach out to us in your native language.

Located at 21 Rue des Halles, opposite the Council House in the charming oyster harbor village of Mornac sur Seudre, is the former residence of the Mayor, designed by architect Jean Buneau from the nearby fashionable seaside resort of Royan. The architecture of this grand Charentais townhouse offers a striking contrast to the picturesque Celtic fishing village of Mornac, resembling the elegance of 19th century Paris.

With its carved stone exterior, the building exudes a unique charm, combining shabby chic with a touch of elegance, a character that the current owners take pride in preserving.

The Courtyard
At the back of the house, you will find a delightful walled courtyard, where, weather permitting, we serve a generous breakfast at a long table under a large parasol. This tranquil spot also serves as a lovely setting for pre-dinner cocktails.

The Pool
Discreetly tucked away in the corner of the courtyard is a small swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip whenever you desire.

The Tea Garden
Just beyond the pathway at the rear of the house lies a picturesque tea garden, shaded by a mature cherry tree that blossoms with luscious cherries in May. The garden is adorned with classical furniture, inviting you to relax and enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea.

The Dining Room
In the event of inclement weather, our stylish Salle à Manger provides a cozy alternative to the alfresco breakfast experience. It is tastefully furnished, reflecting Monsieur Rouffineau's intended style.

The Library
Our well-stocked bookshelves offer a wide range of reading materials and information in multiple languages. La Bibliothèque also serves as a space for board games and card evenings, with a piano available for talented amateurs to enjoy.

Notre séjour a mornac
Review by: Famille charlet, Aou 13 2023 11:28AM
