The Main House

The Maison de l'Orchidee, a historic Masters Vignernon house constructed in the 1700s, has been carefully preserved to maintain its original charm while also offering modern amenities for a comfortable bed and breakfast experience. The presence of wooden doors and skirtings throughout the house adds a touch of history. With central heating in every room, it is an ideal choice for breaks during the later seasons. The loft space has been thoughtfully insulated with half a meter of thickness, ensuring warmth during winter months. This creates a cozy atmosphere, particularly in October and November when the autumn colors are at their finest. Returning to a warm room and enjoying a complimentary mug of hot chocolate or Coca (available only for winter bookings from November to March) is a delightful experience. The construction of thick walls helps maintain a pleasant temperature inside, keeping it cool in the summer and retaining heat during winter. Additionally, each bedroom suite is equipped with large ceiling fans, ensuring a comfortable sleep on warm summer nights.
