Directions

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
We are located in the Pays de la Loire, near the village of Averton, which is on the northern border with Normandy. Our B&B, La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie, is best reached using LD Lines, and we recommend the Newhaven-Dieppe service. It takes about an hour to drive from the M25 junction that joins the M23 to Newhaven, which is very quick. The ferry journey itself takes approximately four hours and is often a relaxing way to begin your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe, it will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. This journey is now very fast thanks to the speedy A28, which wasn't available a few years ago.

Driving times to the ferry ports are as follows: Dieppe, Caen & Le Havre - 2 hours and 45 minutes; Cherbourg - 3 hours; Calais - 3 hours and 45 minutes. Additionally, Le Mans is 50 minutes away, Alencon and Mayenne are both 30 minutes away, and the Loire Valley & Saumur are 1 hour and 45 minutes away.

DIRECTIONS: If you are traveling south on the A28, you need to take exit 20 and drive to Sille le Guillaume, then continue on to Fresnay sur Sarthe. From there, drive to Souge le Ganelon and proceed to St Paul le Gaultier. Next, head towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which then becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne. Take a right turn onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the first right to reach La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.

If you are using a GPS to find us, simply type in LA CESNERIE 53700 for directions to our small hamlet of only 3 houses. La Maison de Noyer is located down a short drive off the D268 and through a metal field gate.
