Chateau La Mothaye is conveniently situated between Angers and Saumur, just a five-minute drive from the A85 motorway. Its location makes it an ideal choice for a stopover or a longer holiday in the beautiful Loire region. From here, you can easily explore the enchanting chateaux, historic towns, abbeys, vineyards, and much more.

If you are traveling by car from the Channel Ports, the journey from Calais or Boulogne typically takes around 4.5 hours. Opting for a ferry crossing to one of the more southern French ports, such as Le Havre, Cherbourg, Caen, or St. Malo, can shorten your driving time in France, but the crossing itself will take longer. The drive from Paris to Chateau La Mothaye usually takes approximately 3 hours.

Alternatively, you can reach Chateau La Mothaye by train. The nearest TGV station is in Angers, which is a 30-minute ride from Angers St. Laud station. Eurostar services from London Waterloo (St. Pancras in 2007) or Ashford are available to Angers and Tours. The high-speed TGV trains connect Paris to Angers in just 90 minutes. If needed, we can arrange a pick-up from the Angers train station. Car rental services are also available at the station.
