Description for Gite

"Le Matelot & La Normande" is a charming apartment named after its beautiful Norman cupboard, a cherished family heirloom passed down through generations. The interior is adorned with a sailor chic decor and vintage buttons, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. This apartment boasts ample natural light and spans approximately 33 square meters, making it perfect for 2 to 3 people.

Upon entering, you will find a spacious living room of 17 square meters, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a wardrobe dresser in the Norman style, a dining table with three chairs, and a daybed (70 * 190) that can also serve as seating during the day. The bedroom, spanning 9 square meters, features a comfortable double bed (140 * 190). The bathroom, measuring 7 square meters, showcases an old desk with a basin, a large mirror, a shower, a toilet, a hairdryer, and a wardrobe.

The apartment's decor combines traditional elements such as bourgeois moldings and dark wood family furniture with chic marine accessories and vintage items from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as modern reproductions. The walls are painted in soft shades of blue, gray, white, and linen. The living room features beautiful parquet floors, while the bedroom is adorned with seagrass flooring. The bathroom showcases a painted floor.

Throughout the apartment, you will find various marine-themed objects and a selection of books for your enjoyment. The living room and bedroom face south, offering abundant natural light, and overlook a small square with a nearby grocery store. Some residents may park their vehicles in this square. The shower room provides views of the Halley alley through its cathedral glass windows.

The Loft Seaman is a one-of-a-kind space with sloping ceilings, exposed beams, and a glass bathroom with a contemporary design and industrial decor. This studio, suitable for two people and spanning approximately 32 square meters, features a fully equipped kitchen area with black mosaic tiles and a former industrial cloakroom repurposed as a dresser. The dining area includes a table and two high chairs, while the sleeping area offers a king-size bed (160 * 200). The shower room features a canopy enclosure, a large tiled shower, an old wooden bench with a basin, a toilet, and a hairdryer. Storage is provided through commodus, trunks, baskets, and hooks.

The decor of the Loft Seaman is characterized by shades of white, pale gray, taupe, black, and wood. The exposed beams and metal canopy add a touch of charm. The furniture is a mix of antique pieces from flea markets and industrial-inspired items. Similar to the other apartment, you will find marine-themed objects and a selection of books. The studio boasts two large Velux windows on the night side and in the kitchen, fitted with blinds and sunshades. The view from the windows offers glimpses of the sky, rooftops, and the Virgin fires. A small skylight is present in the bathroom, and the dog sitting area provides a unique view of the rooftops.
