Description for B&B:

Welcome to "Au Passage du Gois" in Beauvoir-sur-Mer, a delightful destination situated along the stunning Vendée coastline in the Atlantic Loire region. Here, you can experience a taste of the dream we are living and create your own unforgettable memories. Despite being less than 400 kilometers from the port of Cherbourg and approximately 200 kilometers north of Bordeaux, our location boasts an abundance of sun, sea, and sandy beaches. The Vendée is famous not only for its beautiful coastline but also for its unique microclimate, offering some of the most sunshine hours in France, second only to the Riviera (and with much cheaper beer!). With this in mind, a visit to our region is worth considering in any season. Come and explore for yourself the intriguing attractions and activities available both along the coast and in the inland areas. Our establishment offers three charming bed and breakfast rooms, including a family room and two courtyard rooms. Additionally, we have a holiday cottage that can accommodate up to four people, nestled within the historic sheep stable. For larger groups, our main house, dating back to 1810, features four bedrooms, ideal for six to eight guests, as well as a cozy apartment suitable for two to three individuals. Within walking distance of the Passage du Gois, you will find three restaurants, with more options available in our village just four kilometers away. During the summer months (May-September), we also offer meals in our summer kitchen. With 240 kilometers of coastline, including 140 kilometers of pristine sandy beaches, the Vendée is renowned as one of France's premier holiday destinations. Whether you seek picturesque fishing towns, captivating rock formations, nearby islands such as Ile Noirmoutier and Ile d'Yeu, or vibrant coastal towns, our region has something to offer everyone. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the magnificent Passage du Gois and its remarkable natural surroundings, particularly the diverse bird population. Sports enthusiasts will find a wide range of activities to enjoy, including windsurfing, kite surfing, sand sailing, golfing along the coast, as well as walking, cycling, and horseback riding. For families with children, in addition to the beaches, there are also water parks, zoos, and aquariums to entertain and delight. The Vendée is also known for its rich historical heritage, which is evident in the picturesque Bocage countryside. Here, you can discover numerous museums, historical monuments, castles, and abbeys that showcase the area's fascinating past. We have all the necessary information and documentation available for your convenience. For an unforgettable experience, be sure to visit the renowned historical amusement park, Puy du Fou, offering a captivating journey through 2,000 years of history. Just like the coast, the Bocage region is famous for its diverse range of walking and cycling trails, which meander through scenic lakes, rivers, and vineyards located in the southern part of the Vendée. Now is the perfect time to indulge in a well-deserved holiday and truly savor life's pleasures. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Description for Gite

Introducing our newly built holiday cottages, "la Bergerie" and "la Plage".

"La Bergerie" boasts a bright and spacious L-shaped living room with a modern open kitchen. The charm of the house is accentuated by original beamed ceilings and the rustic wooden panels that adorn the roof. The bathroom is a highlight with its blue mosaic floor that sparkles. There are two double bedrooms, one with a comfortable double box spring bed and the other with two single box spring beds. We can also provide a cot or an extra bed upon request.

For your entertainment, the cottage is equipped with a TV and CD/DVD player. For a small additional fee per person, we can have your beds made and provide towels for your convenience. However, if you prefer to bring your own linens, that is also possible.

Moving on to "la Plage", our beach-themed holiday house. It features a separate living room with doors that open into the kitchen. A laundry room is located behind the kitchen for your convenience. The master bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, while three additional bedrooms provide ample space for larger groups. A separate toilet and bathroom with a spacious shower and wash-hand basin are also available. Similar to "la Bergerie", we can provide a cot or an extra bed upon request.

Both cottages are equipped with a TV and CD/DVD player for your entertainment. For a small additional fee per person, we can have your bed made and provide towels. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own bed linens and towels.

The kitchens in both cottages are fully equipped for cooking, and we have provided cookery books and magazines in multiple languages for your culinary inspiration. Dishwashers, washing machines, and fridges with freezing compartments are available for your convenience. We also provide cloths, tea-towels, and towels, as well as a basic stock of coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, and herbs. We kindly ask that you replace what you have used before you depart.

Parking space for two cars is available for both cottages, and outdoor amenities include chairs, a table, sun loungers, a parasol, and a BBQ. You can enjoy your breakfast "al fresco" in the garden. We have also prepared information about the attractions of the Vendée, as well as recommended walking routes for you to explore.

If you prefer dining out, there are three restaurants within walking distance at the entrance of the Passage the Gois, or you can find more options in Beauvoir-sur-Mer, just 4 km (2 ½ miles) away. We also offer special table d'hôte dinners that you can join us for. Additionally, we can arrange for croissants and baguettes to be delivered to you in the morning or provide a complete breakfast experience.

The prices for our cottages vary depending on the season, and we offer special rates for longer stays or larger groups (up to 20 persons). If you have any inquiries or would like to know the specific prices per week, please click here or send us an email.

2 NUITS AU PASSAGE DU GOIS A BEAUVOIR/MER
Review by: Gisèle DUMAS , Avr 22 2013 10:55AM
