Crail is located ten miles southeast of St. Andrews and four miles west of Anstruther on the A917. If coming from Edinburgh, Glasgow, or the South, cross the Forth Road bridge on the A90, which then becomes the M90. Take the A92 to Kirkcaldy, then join the A915. Finally, follow the A917 to Crail. If coming from Inverness and Perth, take the A913 to Cupar and then the B940 to Crail. If coming from Aberdeen and Dundee, follow the A92, then the A91 to St Andrews, and finally the A917 to Crail. By rail:
