Description:

Description for B&B:

Saint-Savournin is a charming French commune situated in the department of Bouches-du-Rhone, within the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. With a population of 3,151 residents as of 2009, this idyllic village is nestled at the eastern edge of the Massif de l'Etoile, positioned between Cadolive and Mimet. The locals of Saint-Savournin proudly identify themselves as Saint-Savournicains and Saint-Savournicaines.

The climate of Saint-Savournin is greatly influenced by its unique location. Perched upon the northern slope of the Étoile massif, the village enjoys a relatively high average altitude of over 440 meters. Consequently, Saint-Savournin distinguishes itself from neighboring towns by experiencing a more rigorous climate. Afternoon temperatures often remain below 3 to 5 degrees Celsius compared to those in Aix-en-Provence or Marseille.

In addition to its exceptional climate, Saint-Savournin boasts proximity to the renowned national park of Calanques, a mere 14 kilometers away. Furthermore, the village finds itself in an advantageous position, being located just 14 kilometers from Aubagne (the beloved city of Pagnol), 17 kilometers from the Aix TGV train station, less than 20 kilometers from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, or Cassis, and 25 kilometers from Marseille Provence airport. This strategic placement has earned Saint-Savournin a well-deserved reputation as part of a "golden triangle."
