Description for B&B:

Experience the charm of a 16th-century manor at our beautiful bed and breakfast. Nestled in the serene countryside near Valognes, Cherbourg, and the historic D-day beaches, this manor farm offers a tranquil and welcoming environment. As you approach the property, a picturesque poplar alley leads you to the impressive manor and its authentic farm buildings, including a cider-press and ancient arches.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation features five comfortable rooms, each furnished with queen size beds or a four-poster bed. For larger groups, we also offer a suite consisting of two rooms, accommodating up to 15 guests. Your bedroom awaits on either the first or second floor, accessed by an enchanting spiral stone staircase.

The central location of the manor allows for convenient exploration of various attractions. Discover the fascinating "La cité de la mer" in Cherbourg, venture to the nearby Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernesey, or delve into the rich history of the D-Day beaches and their monuments, including Utah beach, Omaha beach, and Sainte Mére l'Eglise.

With its origins dating back to the 16th century, the main building of the manor boasts a captivating history. However, its foundations reveal an even older past, while significant renovations during the 18th century have enhanced its grandeur. The setting itself dates back to the Gallo-Roman period, with Savigny once being connected to the renowned town of Alauma. Additionally, the property is bordered by the ancient Roman causeway of Cosedia, adding to its historical significance.
