The farmhouse is encompassed by a lush garden and a sprawling field, dedicated to haymaking, which seamlessly merges with a nearby woodland. A gently sloping trail leads down to the neighboring village of Vertolaye.

Regardless of the season, La Faye offers a plethora of scenic walks through the surrounding forests. The expansive and cozy lounge provides a comfortable space for leisurely pursuits.

Given favorable weather conditions, meals can be enjoyed either in the garden or under the sheltered courtyard. The Table d'Hôte service is available three times a week.

Each room is equipped with essential amenities, including a washbowl, shower, and toilet. A selection of games, books, and literature showcasing local activities and attractions is readily accessible.

To reach Vertolaye:
1. Travel between Thiers and Ambert.
2. After passing Olliergues, you will see a sign indicating Vertolaye.
3. A little further ahead, on your left, you will come across a junction with a sign pointing to Vertolaye Centre.
4. Do not take the road to the centre. Instead, continue for about 50 meters and look for a small road between two houses on your left. There will be a sign indicating La Faye.
5. Take this road, which is quite steep.
6. At a T-crossing, turn right and then take a left turn. There will be another sign indicating La Faye.
7. This part of the road is even steeper.
8. As you near the top, you will see a small farm on your right with a cross. The house on the left with a small front yard is your destination.
9. The house is recognizable by a glass logo.
