Description:

Description for B&B:

Mas de Garrigue is a captivating and historically significant 15th century house that was once a hunting lodge and fortified farm. It boasts a plethora of original features, including grand stone fireplaces, arrow slits, a 15th century window, stone sinks, magnificent oak beams, and charming pigeon coops.

Sarah and Steven, the current owners, have poured their love and respect into restoring the house, infusing it with elegant and tasteful touches, occasionally adding a contemporary twist. The blending of Irish antiques and art with the French architectural style creates a harmonious and charming atmosphere.

Nestled in the picturesque Midi Pyrenees region of South West France, Sarah and Steven welcome guests with warm Irish hospitality. Sarah's culinary education in Paris and Steven's heritage from the renowned Irish culinary and hospitable Allen clan ensures a delightful dining experience. They take great pride in serving sumptuous dinners made from homegrown and locally sourced ingredients. Each year, Steve raises two "Noir de Gascon" pigs, which Sarah skillfully transforms into delectable terrines, pates, saucisse, and hams. Additionally, Steven diligently tends to the kitchen garden, ensuring a steady supply of fresh vegetables, tomatoes, herbs, and even saffron.
