To provide a better welcoming experience, the guest room is temporarily closed for complete interior and exterior renovations. Our guest room, Les Fougereaux, is located in Chassenard, a charming village in Allier (03), near Burgundy (Saône et Loire) and just a 10-minute drive from Digoin. It is an ideal place for a few days of relaxation, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the countryside. Chambre DHôtes Les Fougereaux is open from April to early October. Situated on a private 2912 m² plot of land, fully fenced and in a rural setting, this place is perfect for you to enjoy.
Who are we? We are a family of four, consisting of two adults and two children, Laura and Katrine, who have shared custody. I am a breeder of Cavalier King Charles, English Cocker Spaniel, and German Shepherd dogs. The dogs have their own separate facilities (kennels) placed in a way that won't disturb our guests. However, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting them to prevent them from barking. To ensure a peaceful environment during the day, privacy screens have been installed, and at night, the dogs are locked in their buildings. Our cozy home, consisting of a 100m² ground floor, will become your home during your stay, whether it's for a night, a weekend, or longer. When my children, partner, and I are present, we will greet you with a warm smile and cheerful demeanor. Our guest house is spacious, quiet, sunny, and temperature controlled for your comfort throughout the year. It is decorated with simplicity to create a relaxing ambiance. We welcome our furry friends, but for hygiene reasons, they must be kept on a leash, and any droppings must be collected. The responsibility for their behavior and care lies with their owners. Bed sheets and towels will be provided during your stay. Now, it's time to explore the premises. Please note that while we accept pets in our rental, their owners are fully responsible for them.

Are you seeking a tranquil retreat where you can relax and rejuvenate? Then look no further than the Guest Room: Les Fougereaux, situated in Chassenard (03510).

This charming, secluded farmhouse, which can accommodate a maximum of 2 people, offers a peaceful haven with no direct neighbors. Dating back to the early 20th century, the property has undergone a complete renovation to meet modern standards. Nestled in the countryside on a fully enclosed 2912 m² plot, it boasts the following features:

The Veranda

The veranda serves as an additional cozy space, providing excellent insulation for the living room. When the sun shines, it creates a delightful ambiance by reflecting off the windows and warming the room.

The Living Room: Dining Area

The dining area is furnished with a table and six chairs, along with two cupboards and a buffet. A fireplace with a wood stove provides hot water during the winter months, while an electric water heater is available for summer use.

The Living Room: Lounge Area

In the living room, you will find a comfortable three-seater sofa and a television, perfect for unwinding and enjoying your favorite shows.

The Bathroom

Currently undergoing a complete renovation, the bathroom will soon feature a sink with a cabinet, a shower, two towel racks, a small piece of furniture with a braided rope basket, and a trash can. Bath towels are provided for guests.

Toilet

The toilet has been fully renovated and is separate from the bathroom.

Blue Ocean Room

This inviting room offers a double bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, complete with pillows and blankets. It is furnished with a bedside table and lamp, a wardrobe with ample storage space, and a chest of drawers adorned with a lantern decoration. Bed linens are provided for the guest room.
