Description:

Description for B&B:

Located on the southern foothills of the Vosges, our charming farm, La Petite Rosière, sits in a tranquil and secluded spot where the high plateau of the mille-étangs (meaning "thousand ponds") begins and the water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea. Tucked away just above the commune of La Rosière, "La Petite Rosière" can be found at the end of a quiet road. With the exception of our own driveway, which leads to the farm through a grand covered gate, there is no traffic in sight. The surroundings offer a vast and picturesque landscape, perfect for leisurely strolls along forest and meadow paths, or embarking on extensive hikes. The farmhouse, along with the old bakehouse and the small "tourelle", create a charming ensemble. Across from the farm, a sprawling orchard gently slopes down towards a serene bathing lake, adorned with a majestic rock. Beyond the lake, an enchanting deciduous forest awaits, with its winding paths leading past captivating rocks, lush moss, and ancient trees, leading to viewpoints and magical spots. Above the house, farm, and lake, on the other side of the historic donkey path that once connected the farm to the outside world, lies the spring meadow. This meadow provides the water that supplies our house, and a portion of it is now used for cultivating vegetables and potatoes. Whether it's by the pond, on the forest's edge, among the rocks, or amidst the blooming natural meadows surrounded by a mix of young and old beeches, oaks, birches, and ash trees, there are countless places that beckon you to connect with peace and nature.

La Petite Rosière is a beautiful and peaceful place. Very nice rooms with a personal artistic touch. Lovely hosts - and the cuisine is a delight for tongue and eye. After five days in La Petite Rosière I felt rested and refreshed.
