Description:

Description for B&B:

Our accommodations are tastefully furnished and consist of two self-contained studio apartments. Each apartment includes a luxurious king-size bed, ensuite shower room, small kitchen, and breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped for preparing light snacks, warming up food for children, making lunch packs, and preparing dinner.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we are currently not offering breakfast or evening meals. As a result, the studios are rented on a self-catering basis, or "Gite" basis, with the price adjusted accordingly. We do welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a large garden where you can relax. There is also a picnic and barbecue area, as well as sunbeds for your use.

We have two adorable and well-behaved dogs, Freddie, a nine-year-old Border Collie, and Loupie, an 18-month-old German Spitz. They are both very friendly and get along well with guests, including small children and other dogs.

Additional amenities include Freeview TV with both English and French channels, free internet/WiFi, boules, a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, hairdryer, and the use of a washing machine and dryer upon request.

Our bed and breakfast is located in a rural area, offering a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, taste regional products, and meet local people. Beyond the coastal area, Calvados, with its beautiful landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist sites, provides a diverse range of places to visit. From the Bessin area, famous for the D-Day Landings, to the half-timbered houses of Pays d'Auge and the wild gorges and valleys of La Suisse Normande, there is much to discover.

In the Bocage Virois, you can enjoy walking and fishing, while the Pays de Falaise, once the fiefdom of William the Conqueror, holds significant historical importance. The surrounding countryside is perfect for various activities such as motor biking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are also numerous marked and unmarked walking routes, with Roche d'Oëtre being a favorite.

Nearby towns like Thury Harcourt, Clecy, Le Vey, and Bagnole de l'Orne are worth a visit. Bagnole de l'Orne, in particular, is known for its beauty in spring and summer, with its abundance of hanging baskets and flower box displays. The town also features a lake with a casino and several restaurants. The castle at Carrouges is just a 15-minute drive away.

Surrounded by history and nature, whether you are passing through or staying for a few days, your experience at La Ferme Bed & Breakfast will be luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. Our accommodations offer a tranquil and peaceful setting, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The only sound you will encounter is the sweet melody of birdsong.

During the summer months, you can enjoy the constant beauty of the dahlia display on the terraces opposite the house. Fresh cut flowers are also available from July until the first frost. We provide tourist information leaflets, maps, and recommendations for local restaurants.

Please note that we have a strict no smoking policy. Additionally, while our current accommodations do not have wheelchair facilities due to the age and structure of the house, they are located on the garden/parking level for easier access. Parking is conveniently available directly in front of the door.

Description for Gite

You can reserve our apartments on a self-catering basis through our Gite accommodations. The minimum booking duration is one week, equivalent to 7 nights. Each studio apartment can accommodate an additional guest with a fold-up bed. Additionally, we offer the option of providing a baby cot at no additional cost.
