Our corner of paradise has been our love for over 30 years. We fell in love with Creysseilles for its mountain scenery, small stone hamlets, authenticity, and friendly people. In 1985, we acquired this former farm in ruins and gradually renovated it. Located on a ledge at an altitude of 700 meters, our one-hectare property is an ideal place to rest or relax for a few days. You can enjoy the quiet, the views, and the hiking trails in Creysseilles and neighboring towns.

Our house features 2 guest rooms on each side of our living space. Breakfasts and dinners, cooked by the lady of the house, are served in the dining room under the arches of the old stables or on the terrace in summer. We are excited to welcome guests from May 1, 2013, and share our love for this corner of Ardèche.

The house is believed to date back to the seventeenth century, with extensions added over time to accommodate housing needs. It consists of three adjoining buildings, residential housing vaults, a covered porch, a bread oven, and a courtyard closed by a gate. The high walls were lowered to enjoy the view and access to the pool. The land extends over 1 hectare of meadow and moor, with a restored garden and a pond fed by a spring.

For those who enjoy walks or bike rides, there are hiking trails and low-traffic roads that start from the house. Nearby attractions include the cave of the Huguenots, an ancient tomb carved in stone, the church, the watchtower with a 360° view, and the volcano Chirouze. We provide maps and guides of the area and can offer recommendations based on your preferences. If you prefer to explore by car, Privas is a 15-minute drive, Aubenas is 30 minutes away, Antraigues is 45 minutes away, Vallon Pont d'Arc is 1 hour away, and Mont Gerbier de Jonc is 1 hour and 15 minutes away.

For lovers of local products, Privas offers chestnuts from Clement Faugier, charcuterie (stomachs, hams, dried mountain sausages), goat cheese (famous picodons), and red and white Côtes du Rhône wines.

Appréciations pour Les Chambres du Clair, Creysseilles:

Une semaine sereine et sympathique
Review by: Josette, Sep 20 2016 1:21PM
