This charming 17th Century house in a picturesque Provence village square is beautifully decorated and furnished in a traditional provençal style. Retaining many original features, this rural gite exudes character and offers a cozy and homely atmosphere. With its original oak beams, a romantic wood burning fire, a unique spiral staircase, and a covered terrace overlooking the village and town square, this self-catering house provides a delightful and authentic Provence experience.

Located in the heart of the sunny Var region, the village is vibrant year-round and provides immediate access to local shops and amenities, offering all the conveniences of a hotel. Guests have the option to dine in or explore the numerous local restaurants and bars, ranging from casual eateries to highly acclaimed establishments recommended in the renowned Provence-Cote DAzure Guide Gantié. For early risers, coffee is served in the café downstairs from six in the morning. With over 8 restaurants and bars within 300 meters of the house, as well as a nearby supermarket and 3 bakeries within 500 meters, guests are spoiled for choice.

The Flayosc area is a hidden gem, boasting untouched natural beauty with 200 kilometers of walking and mountain biking trails. Whether exploring on foot, horseback, or by bike, guests can immerse themselves in the tranquility and serenity of the surroundings.

Maison Mimosa, the gite, features 2 bedrooms, 1 spacious bathroom, and can accommodate up to 5 guests. Spread across 3 floors, each measuring 27 square meters, the gite offers a large lounge, dining room, and a country-style kitchenette with an open log fire and original oak beamed ceiling. The windows overlook the central village square, providing a charming view. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, stove, crockery, and cutlery. The gite is tastefully furnished with antiques, exuding Provençal charm and elegance. Both double bedrooms are adorned with romantic Provençal-style bed drapes, with one bedroom opening onto the terrace through large patio doors. The terrace offers a private outdoor space for dining and relaxation, boasting panoramic views of the village and surrounding countryside. The bathroom features a large bath, bidet, and a clothes washing machine and tumble dryer. All necessary amenities such as crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, linen, electricity, and water are provided, with towels for indoor use only. Electric heaters are available for winter use.

Please note that the gite may not be suitable for small children due to the stone staircase and multiple floors. Additionally, smoking is not permitted. Free and secure parking is available in the village, located just 50 meters from the house.

Flayosc, situated in the Upper Var region and near the Verdon Grand Canyon, offers a wonderful holiday location with its 300 days of sunshine per year, making it an ideal destination year-round. Guests can enjoy a range of activities such as hiking, climbing, canoeing, golfing, and exploring vibrant Provençal markets. For those interested in winter sports, skiing is only an hour and a half away. The region is also renowned for its exquisite wines, which should not be missed.

Directions

To get to Maison Mimosa, located in the central square opposite Café du Midi, follow these travel directions: Head north from St Tropez and take exit 36 on the A8. This will lead you to the center of Draguignan. From there, simply follow the signs towards the center of Flayosc.
