Description:

Description for B&B:

The charming farmhouse, originally built in 1802 and recently renovated with careful attention to preserving its original features, is nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Chignat. Surrounded by expansive gardens and adjacent barns, the farmhouse is situated on a tranquil lane. The meticulously landscaped grounds span 2 hectares and boast magnificent trees, blooming shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a thriving vegetable garden.

The accommodation offers five bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin bedded rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, prepares exceptional 5-star, four-course meals for dinner. The ingredients used are predominantly organic and sourced either from the farmhouse's own vegetable garden or from local suppliers. Additionally, a delicious breakfast is included in the room rate, providing a delightful start to the day. The breakfast options feature a range of choices such as fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, preserves, porridge during colder weather, and a variety of coffee.

Adjacent to the farmhouse is a small campsite, spread across 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, with a total of 25 pitches available. The campsite offers a captivating array of mature trees, shrubs, and abundant birdlife, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching enthusiasts (don't forget your binoculars!). The campsite provides electric hook-ups for six caravans or camping cars, as well as the option to rent two large, fully equipped trailer tents. The sanitary facilities are first-class, including a dedicated shower and toilet for disabled guests. The campsite also maintains a reed bed system for waste water and strictly adheres to a comprehensive recycling policy. Additionally, guests have access to a games room located in one of the barns, as well as a refrigerator and washing machine for their convenience.
